Ann-Sofi Garman joined San Francisco Elite Academy in Fall 2025 and currently serves as the head coach for the 2013 Girls Orange team. With decades of experience both in the United States and Sweden, Sofi brings a deep commitment to player development and a proven track record of building competitive, high-performing teams.
Throughout her coaching career, Sofi has progressed through a wide range of roles, from assistant coach to head coach and age group coordinator, working with players from U8 through U18. Prior to joining SF Elite, she held leadership positions at Burlingame Soccer Club, Peninsula Youth Soccer Club, Belmont United, and SF Girls Unite, where she played a key role in developing youth programs and mentoring players across multiple levels.
Sofi holds coaching licenses from both the Swedish Football Association (SvFF) and the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), along with advanced certifications through the TOVO Institute and international methodology courses including FC Barcelona and LaLiga. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes technical development, game understanding, and creating a positive environment where players can grow and compete.
Originally from Sweden, Sofi has a lifelong background in the game as both a player and coach. She is passionate about developing the next generation of athletes and fostering a love for the game in every player she works with.
