SFEA PLAYER REGISTRATION AND ANNUAL DUES
This page covers everything you need to register your player and manage club fees for the upcoming season.
SF Elite uses BYGA, an all-in-one platform for registration, communication, scheduling, and payments.
Through BYGA, families can:

Register for the season and complete all required forms

View team schedules, training sessions, and game details

Receive club and team communications in one place
-
Track payments and manage billing
All families are required to create a BYGA account and use the platform throughout the season to stay organized and up to date.
2026–2027 SEASON
All players must complete registration online through BYGA.

Families may choose to:

2026–2027 ANNUAL DUES
All annual fees include professional coaching, league registration, player registration, field and referee fees, team training equipment, and training jerseys (one for U8–U12 and two for U13–U19 & U12 Pre-ECNL).
Annual fees do not include tournaments, uniforms, travel-related expenses (including coach travel, lodging, and meals for overnight tournaments), or additional programs such as futsal.

Boys Showcase Participation:

Cost:
ECNL showcase fees are not included in annual club dues.
Each showcase has an approximate cost of $1,400, which includes:

Travel Policy:
All players are required to travel using club-arranged bookings. No independent travel arrangements are permitted.
2026-2027 Membership and Participation Agreement
Participation in SF Elite requires a signed Membership & Participation Agreement, completed electronically during BYGA registration.
Once registered, players and families are committed to SF Elite for the full seasonal year. This includes responsibility for all club fees based on the selected financial plan, regardless of participation level due to injury, schedule conflicts, or personal decisions.
Failure to complete payments may result in loss of participation and could lead to further action. Players who request a release may forfeit fees already paid.

Refund Policy:
All payments are non-refundable, including deposits and installment payments. By registering, families are committing to the full seasonal cost regardless of participation.
Late payments:

Non-Profit:
SF Elite is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Our mission is to provide a pathway for youth in the City to develop as players and people, with access to opportunities regardless of background or financial situation.
Financial Aid:
SF Elite is committed to making the game accessible to families across the City.
We offer need-based financial aid through an application process and award over $200,000 annually.
How it works:

Request a Financial Aid Application from the Director of Operations

Decisions are typically made within two weeks

Applications must be submitted each year
Financial aid is aligned with San Francisco Recreation & Park Department scholarship guidelines.
Eligibility (50% scholarship):
Household income at or below 250% of federal poverty guidelines:

Add $10,450 per additional family member
Full scholarships (up to 2 players per team) may be available for families who meet income requirements and participate in programs such as:

Playing Time Policy:
Playing time varies by program and is influenced by attendance, attitude, and performance.

Recreational: Minimum 50% playing time

SF Competitive (SFYS): Minimum 40% playing time

Travel Competitive (NorCal): Minimum 40% playing time

ECNL/ECNL RL/Higher Levels: Earned playing time
Guest Playing Policy:
SF Elite teams are built to roster full squads without relying on guest players.
However, in certain situations, guest players may be used to support team needs. In these cases:

Coaches will prioritize rostered players based on ability, fitness, and commitment

Guest players will be integrated in a way that supports both team performance and player development
SF Elite reserves the right to approve guest players when necessary.
