A Note from our Girls Academy Director

We are excited to provide an update on our Girls Academy League (GA) program, the only competitive girls' program in San Francisco competing at the highest level on the national stage. The GA is a year-round league, split into regional conferences across the United States. As a member of the GA, our players gain exclusive access to national showcase events and GA Talent ID camps, providing exposure to college coaches and USYNT scouts.

Winter GA Program (U12-14):

Our U12-Pre GA, U13, and U14 teams have kicked off an exciting 10-week winter training program, featuring:

  • 2 outdoor training sessions per week

  • 2 indoor futsal sessions per week

The outdoor sessions are focused on preparing our players for the upcoming GA winter league season, which includes an additional 9 games played in January and February. New this year, through collaboration with GA directors in our conference, we’ve added 6 scheduled 11v11 games for our 2013 U12-Pre GA team, offering valuable preparation for their transition into the full GA program in Fall 2025. Additionally, our teams will compete in the Norcal Futsal State Cup Tournament over President’s Weekend, with some teams aiming to defend their championship titles from last year.

GA Clinics:

In January, we hosted our first in a series of GA clinics, welcoming players from U11-U14. It was fantastic to see so many talented young players interested in our program, showing excellent attitude and skill!

Looking Ahead:

  • High School Players Return (February 2025): Our U15-U19 teams will return from high school soccer, and we’ll launch the spring GA season on February 24th. The first national showcase event sees SF Elite take 4 age groups (U15-U19) to North Carolina in mid-April.

  • West Regional Showcase (March 2025): Our U13 and U14 teams will attend their first of the season West Regional Showcase in Oceanside, CA, at the end of March.

  • GA National Playoffs and Summer Showcase (May/June): The GA season concludes in May, with some teams competing for a spot in the GA National Playoffs, alongside final GA Summer Showcase in Norco, CA.

Talent ID Camp (March 2025):

In mid-March, we’ll send 10+ players across all age groups to the GA Talent ID Camp, where they’ll join elite-level players from across our conference.

Our Focus:

At SF Elite, our GA program centers on player development, setting high standards, and fostering accountability. Through detailed training programs, player evaluations, and individualized development plans (IDPs), we aim to develop highly skilled, competitive players who can excel on the national stage.
