Mark has been a part of San Francisco Elite Academy since 2024 and serves as the Boys ECNL Director, where he leads the development and performance pathway for the club’s top boys teams. He holds a USSF B License and is currently completing his USSF A License, reflecting his commitment to coaching at the highest levels.
Originally from Hull, England, Mark brings an extensive international background as both a player and coach. His playing career includes time at Manchester Metropolitan University’s First Team, along with professional and semi-professional experience in England and the United States.
Mark has built an impressive coaching résumé across both England and the U.S., holding leadership roles as a Youth Academy Director, Club Director, and Head Coach. He has worked within MLS NEXT environments and has a proven track record of developing players who have progressed to professional academies, including clubs such as Chicago Fire, Columbus Crew, and Orlando City.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Coaching and Sports Development from Manchester Metropolitan University, combining academic knowledge with real-world experience at every level of the game.
Mark’s coaching philosophy centers around a possession-based, attacking style of play, emphasizing high intensity, purposeful build-up, and player creativity. He is passionate about developing confident, competitive players who can express themselves on the field while contributing to a team-first environment.
