Staige Davis has been a part of San Francisco Elite Academy since 2024 and serves as a coach within the club, bringing a strong background in both playing and coaching across youth, collegiate, and semi-professional environments in the United States and abroad.
Originally from Burlington, Vermont, Staige developed his game with Far Post Soccer Club, where he won multiple state championships. He continued his playing career at Norwich University, appearing in over 30 matches and serving as team captain, and also gained international experience playing in the Welsh Second Division with Buckley Town FC during his time in the U.K.
Staige has built an extensive coaching résumé, spending over a decade with Far Post Soccer Club where he worked with teams across all age groups and served in a leadership role as Director of Coaching for younger age groups. He further developed his coaching perspective through an apprenticeship with English club Crewe Alexandra, and later at Norwich University, where he progressed from assistant coach to head coach, leading the program to a conference final in his first season. He also gained experience in the USL2 environment as an assistant coach with Vermont Green FC.
Staige’s coaching philosophy reflects a possession-based, attacking style of play, emphasizing intensity, structure, and player decision-making. He is committed to developing competitive, confident players who can perform within a team system while continuing to grow individually.
